Purpose: Mandated by the State Executive Office of Elder Affairs and the Federal Administration on Aging, the council’s duties are to total needs and resources of the Town’s elderly population; to design services in response to these needs and resources such as social and health services, financial and legal consultation, transportation, and educational programs; and to educate the community and enlist its support in implementing the Council’s programs.
