DBA Certification

 All business certificates (commonly known as "doing business as" or "DBA" certificates) are filed with the Town Clerk. The DBA files allow consumers to identify and locate the proprietor of a business that goes by a name other than that of the proprietor. Once filed, a certificate is valid for 4 years. The fee for filing is $75.

Business Certificate filing (including 1 certified copy) is $5. Withdrawals, discontinuances, changes, etc., (including 1 certified copy) are $15.


Violations of these provisions shall be subject to a fine of not more than $300 for each month during which such violation continues.
