Monday, September 23, 2019
Sanskrit, a language of ancient India with a 3,500-year history, remains the primary liturgical language of Hinduism. Even though it is the root of most of the 20 or so commonly spoken languages in India today, Sanskrit has become associated primarily with religious customs and traditions. Join Lalitha as she teaches simple phrases, some grammar, and useful tips. Ms. Swaminathan received her Bachelor of Arts in Sanskrit from the University of Delhi and a Bachelor of Education from Mysore University.
