Winchester Unitarian Society presents "A Requiem for George Floyd," a service of remembrance and music, May 25th
Wednesday, May 25, 2022
In memory of the tragic death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, the Winchester Unitarian Society will present a special two-year anniversary service in honor of those impacted by racism and white supremacy. A highlight of this service will be the premiere of an original choral work by the late composer Henry Mollicone. This powerful work, A Requiem for George Floyd, will be performed by the WUS Adult Choir and accompanying musicians, conducted by WUS Music Director John Kramer.
The service will be held in-person and also live-streamed. Masks are required for those attending in person. Offerings will go to the Mystic Valley Area Branch of the NAACP (https://www.mva-naacp.org) and may be made in person or online.
