The WINCHESTER BOARD OF APPEAL will hold a PUBLIC HEARING onMONDAY, MAY 16, 2016 at 7:45 P.M. in the WATERFIELD ROOM, TOWN HALL, 71 MOUNT VERNON STREET, WINCHESTER, MA on the following matter:
PETITION NO. 3766 - That of WINCHESTER BOAT CLUB, INC. by LEONARD M. SIMONS, ESQ., concerning the property at 65 CAMBRIDGE STREET, WINCHESTER, MA. The petitioner seeks a determination that a Special Permit to allow changes to a legal non-conforming use pursuant to Section 3.5.2 of the Winchester Zoning By-Law is not required, or in the alternative the petitioner seeks a Special Permit to allow changes to a legal non-conforming use pursuant to Section 3.5.2 of the Winchester Zoning By-Law in accordance with Chapter 40A, Section 9 of the Massachusetts General Laws. In addition, the petitioner seeks a Special Permit from Section 4.3.2 of the Winchester Zoning By-Law in accordance with Chapter 40A, Section 9 of the Massachusetts General Laws so as to be permitted to construct an addition that will be located closer to the rear property line than permitted as of right. The petitioner also seeks any such other zoning relief the Board may determine is necessary. The property is located in the SCI (Conservancy/Institutional) zoning district and contains 48,000 square feet.
