Good afternoon, I'm writing with a reminder that the Town of Winchester is putting on a free Sustainable Landscaping Workshop this Saturday, May 20 from 1:00 - 3:00 in the large meeting room at Winchester Public Library.

No prior knowledge is necessary. The focus of this workshop is on how to landscape your property in ways that save water, enhance natural beauty, reduce maintenance and provide pollinator habitat. You'll learn about where to find locally grown native plant material, questions to ask the nursery, minimizing land disturbance on your property, erosion control, and more. The knowledge you will gain will be valuable whether you do your own landscaping, hire a crew, or a mixture. This is the second in a three-part workshop series. The workshop will be filmed and available in a few weeks if you are interested but unable to attend in person.

Note that the Library parking lot will almost certainly be full due to the En Ka Fair. You should plan to park in a surrounding neighborhood and walk 5-10 minutes to the Library.
