November 30, 2018, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Love popular movie music? Love jazz? Either way, this family-friendly concert promises to be a fun evening for everyone! Please join WCMS piano faculty member Jonathan Fagan for a concert of jazz interpretations of favorite movie music, including pieces from The Greatest Showman, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast, Titanic, and more. In days past, jazz audiences were familiar with many popular jazz standards because the music came from Broadway musicals. Jonathan seeks to bring jazz improvisation to a new generation with modern show music. You’ll know the tunes and love the jazz! Jonathan will be joined by special guests Erik van Dam on saxophone; Keala Kaumeheiwa on bass; and Austin McMahon on drums. Free admission. Pre-concert reception at 7:00 pm. For more information, call 781-721-2950 or visit www.winchestermusic.org. 407 Highland Avenue, Winchester.
