A multi-media presentation with Michael Tougias about the 13 harrowing days in October 1962 through the eyes of JFK and two U-2 pilots. Tougias is a NY Times best-selling author and co-author of 28 books, including "The Finest Hours," which became a Disney Motion Picture in 2016. Refreshments will be served starting at 7 p.m. with the program beginning at 7:30 p.m.

If you are looking for an opportunity to create something unique come bring your creative mind down to the Memory Cafe this month. In partnership with Hearthstone Alzheimer Care, we will be creating Memory Boards. Things to bring include photos, objects related to hobbies, momentos from favorite past times, and we will supply the rest. Memory Cafes are a welcoming place for individuals with all forms of mild cognitive impairment. A memory cafe is a safe and comfortable space where caregivers and their loved ones can socialize, listen to music, play games and enjoy other appropriate activities. Stage Music Center (https://stagemusiccenter.com/) is hosting an incredible evening of music and hors d'oeuvres to benefit the Winchester Multicultural Network (www.wmcn.org). Proceeds from the $40 ticket will support the Network and will include the musical performance, wine, refreshments, and a sampling of hors d'oeuvres, courtesy of Winchester-resident-owned anoush'ella, located in the South End. As you may have heard, members of the Winchester Unitarian Society voted on January 7, 2018 to “affirm our continuing commitment to racial justice by publicly displaying on church property a sign or banner that reads: ‘Black Lives Matter’.”
Our first community wide conversation on this topic will be facilitated by our own Reverend Heather Janules, with special guests: Peter MacDonnell, Winchester Chief of Police and Sandy Thompson, Founder of the Winchester Multicultural Network.
