    Calling All Artists. Do you have paintings, photos, quilts, or other art projects you would like to display and share with our community? Please sign-up by Monday, April 15th (so we can plan the space). Bring in your work between Wednesday, April 17th and Monday, April 22nd. Your art will be on display from Thursday, April 25th through Thursday, May 9th. Plan to pick-up your piece(s) on Friday, May 10th. Space limited. Maximum of 2 pieces per artist.   2. Interactive Oral Health Talk

    From denture care to dry mouth, get all your dental questions answered at Lunch and Learn Join Shalini Lahoty, RDH, Public Health Dental Hygienist, as she speaks on denture care, dry mouth, diabetes, nutrition and oral care. This will be an engaging and interactive session as you learn tips and techniques to improve your oral health and have all your questions answered by an experienced dental professional. FREE Toothbrushes and Pill Boxes will be provided.

  3. First Annual Resource Fair at the Jenks Center

    Please join us for the Jenks First Annual Resource Fair- Wednesday, May 8th from 1:30 – 3:30 PM. This free event will feature information booths, the event is a learning opportunity for older adults, their families & caregivers and complimentary light refreshments will be served. The fair will showcase Winchester based organization and programs that provide support and services for older adults in the Winchester area. Guests can learn about the organizations, what they offer, and how they can help older adults to continue to live at home. The Jenks Center will have a table with staff members to answer questions about its services. Also available will be free blood pressure checks and visitors will receive a free resource guide!     Have you heard about “the cloud”? Cloud computing stores data (files, photos, etc.) using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet, rather than a local server or a personal computer. Join Ran Cronin, Head of Technology and Information Services at the Winchester Public Library, as she teaches us what it means when people say, “My data is in the Cloud.”

  5. Geology Rocks! with Dr. William Mallio

    We affect our earth and our earth affects us! Join Bill as he shares his research and experience in geology. His presentation/discussion format will include a variety of topics: risks from volcanos, earthquakes, tidal waves, asteroids; impacts of arsenic and asbestos and sources of these metals and minerals; how do we address environmental contamination; causes of the changing sea levels. Dr. Mallio eared his PhD in Geochemistry from Boston University. He has worked in research mining and environmental geology since 1989. Join Bill for these four sessions to dig deeper into these fascinating topics. NOTE: Classes meet every other week.

Many now pose a serious challenge to the Western political paradigm. How will America respond to this foreign and domestic challenge?
