  1. Sanskrit Instruction with Lalitha Swaminathan

    Sanskrit, a language of ancient India with a 3,500-year history, remains the primary liturgical language of Hinduism. Even though it is the root of most of the 20 or so commonly spoken languages in India today, Sanskrit has become associated primarily with religious customs and traditions. Join Lalitha as she teaches simple phrases, some grammar, and useful tips. Ms. Swaminathan received her Bachelor of Arts in Sanskrit from the University of Delhi and a Bachelor of Education from Mysore University.

  2. Kids on Broadway

    Let’s create a show! Free Kids on Broadway Workshop at Winchester Stage Music Center (Ages 6+) on September 9th at 3:00 PM. Whether your child is shy or always ready for a spotlight Kids on Broadway provides performance opportunities that are both encouraging and challenging. Kids will work on a song from a Musical and have opportunities for solos during the workshop. This is a great way to try out musical theater for the first time, or get extra experience for kids who are "seasoned pros". Registration is required to attend.

    Join your child as they learn to be creative and express themselves through music for a Free Workshop. Notes In Motion is a 12 week course where we will explore concepts that will not only develop a foundation for music and piano readiness skills but will also expand your child’s musical, social and listening skills. Through interactive games and activities your child will grasp concepts such as pitch, dynamics, rhythm and other music fundamentals essential for musical development.

  4. Winchester Youth Ultimate Frisbee (ages 9-11)

    Winchester's Parks & Rec program is now offering an opportunity for young athletes (ages 9-11) to learn the sport of Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, non-contact team sport played by thousands all over the world. It’s a fast-paced game where players advance a Frisbee by making passes from player to player until completing a pass in the opponent’s end zone.While Ultimate Frisbee is an intense sport it’s also well known as being very newcomer friendly. No prior experience is necessary and new players pick up the game very quickly. The program will include instruction and skills building each week, followed by a scrimmage. It will be on Mondays from 5:30 - 6:30 at Mullen Field, beginning September 17th and ending October 28th. Registration is available through the WinRec website at:
