Winchester’s updated Climate Action Plan, aligned with the Master Plan, is targeted to be released in December 2019. The Climate Action Plan Committee, tasked by the Town Manager with updating the 2011 Plan, is actively soliciting public input through a wide variety of venues, including Climate Week.
In addition to preparing to adapt to and recover from climate change events, Winchester is also continuing to reduce carbon emissions in our municipal, business and residential areas. With approximately 72% of carbon emissions occurring in the residential sector, this offers an important opportunity for residents to take personal action.
Please join us during Climate Week to explore some of the ways in which those of us living and working in Winchester can reduce our carbon footprint and prepare for greater climate resiliency.
