Whether you have a child or teen ready to perform with their peers, or you yourself would like to be matched with a group of similar musicians, Winchester Community Music School has over a dozen types of ensembles and bands for all ages and abilities. Classical, jazz, rock, world music – there’s something for everyone, from young beginners (and older beginners!) to experienced musicians. Enjoy the social experience of a group, along with the guidance and expertise of our exceptional faculty members. Placement auditions for fall semester are being held Sunday, September 8, 2-5 PM during our annual MusicFest. We are also auditioning for Voice Works for children in grades 3-8; no experience required. WCMS is a non-profit school; financial aid is available. Winchester Community Music School’s annual MusicFest is free and fun for all ages! This musical open house features a school-wide instrument petting zoo, demo classes, and live performances. Come explore the school and visit the many rooms where you can touch and play instruments with the help of current WCMS students. It’s like a corn maze without the corn – find your way through all of the rooms, and win a prize! Faculty and staff will be available to answer questions about group classes, ensembles, and private lessons for kids, teens, and adults.
