  1. Candidate Debate – Massachusetts Representative for 31st Middlesex District

    The League of Women Voters of Winchester will be sponsoring a debate between Michael S. Day and Elizabeth Harrah, candidates for the 31st Middlesex District of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, on Tuesday, October 13 from 5-7 PM at the WinCam Studio in Winchester, and may be viewed at https://wincam.org/watch/government/. The League of Women Voters in a nonpartisan political organization. While we support some issues of public interest and work to increase voter education and engagement, we do not support or oppose any political candidate or party. In this spirit, we ask residents of all viewpoints and political positions residing in the district to submit ideas for questions to be used in the upcoming debate. Questions may be edited for conciseness and tone. Please submit questions and ideas no later than October 10 to Lynne Brodsky, LWVW Steering Committee member, at lynnesgarden@gmail.com.     Disrupting Racism Learning Series Tuesday, October 13 7:00PM Tuesday, October 27 7:00PM Tuesday, November 10 7:00PM Via the Internet in Your Own Space The series, led by two co-facilitators, aims to give participants the language and tools to have grounded conversation around race and racism, taking steps to disrupt it on the micro level (challenging perceptions within themselves, and also in small scale conversations with family, friends and colleagues).
