  1. The History of Music in Sports with Scott Towers

    May 26, 2022, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Scott Towers, the Manager of Tours at the Boch Center, invites you to join him as he shares some local sports music history and analyzes how sports music traditions have evolved. For over 100 years, music has played a unique role in sports. From Fight Songs to the Walk-Up Songs, this relationship has continued to grow. Today an individual cannot attend a sporting event without experiencing an extremely planned and strategic musical accompaniment like a Broadway production. The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame at the Boch Center in Boston is a celebration of music and how its traditions tie people together, especially here in New England. Register at www.jenkscenter.org to obtain the Zoom Link. Sponsored by a generous grant from the John and Mary Murphy Educational Foundation.
